Negative ions and Asthma

We’ve talked about negative and positive ions, what they are and how they affect the body. Positive ions are known to make asthma symptoms worse. You only have to live in places like Calgary, Alberta where the Chinook winds bring more positive ions than negative ones with it into the atmosphere, to know that cases of asthma rise dramatically. The Santa Ana winds have a similar positive ionic effect. The arrival of these winds seem to coincide with more asthma attacks.

In research carried out at the Northeastern Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate Hospital and the Frankford Hospital in Philadelphia, it was found that 65 percent of patients suffering from bronchial asthma and hay fever symptoms experienced partial or total relief through exposure to negative ions. British and Brazilian hospitals have experienced similar results. Some patients in these studies even claimed the negative ion exposure had cured their condition.

These researcher reported that the use of negative ion exposure without any other treatment including drugs had very positive effects on the reduction of symptoms on people with breathing problems.

Now you can wear negative ions on your wrist. Instead of relying on the negative ions in the air getting into your blood stream, you can receive the benefits of negative ions as they absorb through your skin into your blood stream. With the same blood corpuscles passing the same place in your wrist every four minutes, you can receive continuous exposure to negative ions and perhaps a dramatic reduction of cessation of your breathing problems.
